Your information, and what we do with it
Plain English. The short version: we use what you give us to get you quotes and advice, we share only what an insurer needs to price your cover, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
World Expat Health is the independent insurance advisory of Alexander Routh, advising expats on international private medical insurance since 1995. If you have a question about your data, email Alex at the address on the contact page.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to help you:
- Quote requests. When you use the quote engine, you give us your age and the region you want covered. To send your results and follow up, you may also give a name, email, and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Messages. If you contact Alex by form, email, or WhatsApp, we keep what you send so we can answer and advise you.
- Basic site data. Like most sites, our host records standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, and we may use privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are useful.
Why we use it
- To generate your insurance comparison and quotes.
- To answer your questions and give you advice.
- To help with authorisation, billing or reimbursement questions if you ask us to.
Who we share it with
To price your cover, we pass the details an insurer needs (such as your age and region) to the insurers on our panel, and only for the quote you asked for. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we are advising you or you remain a client, and after that only as long as we have a genuine reason to, such as a live policy or a legal obligation. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email Alex and he will handle it himself.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date above. Material changes will be clear on this page.
